Having a meal that you can whip up quickly after a long day is a fantastic alternative to take out. I love this new homestyle baked Mac & Cheese from Kraft; it isn’t too heavy, and it only takes about 25 minutes to make. To create more of a meal instead of just plain old Macaroni, I decided to jazz it up a bit. Simply put… I added ham and peas 🙂

All you’ll need is: 1 bag of Kraft’s Homestyle Mac & Cheese, 3/4 c. milk, 2 tbs. butter, 1/2 a bag of frozen peas, and some deli ham. I used the Alfredo bag instead of the Hearty Four Cheese, but I think either package will work.

Just follow the instructions on the bag to make the macaroni (that is when you’ll use your milk and butter). When you’ve got your macaroni in the strainer and you are making the cheese sauce on the stove, add in the cut slices of deli ham ( I used Boar’s head). Let that simmer for about a minute, and then toss in your macaroni and peas.

Once its well combined, transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle on the crumb/ parmesan topping that came with the kraft bag. Bake in the oven at 325° for 10-15 mins and presto! A great meal that took very little time away from your evening! We really enjoyed this meal. I suppose you could throw in whatever additions you wanted and it would turn out tasty!
